Südtirol Sellaronda HERO 2013

Selva Gardena (BZ), 22.10.12 – Una gara che cresce, e non solo sotto il profilo dell’immagine, ma anche dei “contenuti”. La SüdtirolSellaronda HERO 2013 si presenta così, con grandi ambizioni di poter soddisfare tutte le esigenze che in questi primi tre anni di vita sono emerse dalle centinaia di richieste di adesione. E così, il prossimo anno il tetto massimo di iscrizione è fissato in 3.013 biker, ovvero mille in più rispetto alla passata edizione.

«Uno sforzo che riteniamo importante nell’ottica di rispondere alle centinaia di richieste che abbiamo avuto dopo la chiusura iscrizioni della passata edizione – commenta Gerhard Vanzi - e questa scelta comporterà anche un adattamento organizzativo, soprattutto nelle fasi di partenza e in alcuni tratti del percorso per consentire un passaggio più fluido dei concorrenti».

 

Iscrizioni e percorsi

E allora sale la febbre per la caccia al pettorale: le iscrizioni si apriranno ufficialmente alla mezzanotte di mercoledì 24 ottobre 2012 sul sito www.sellarondahero.com il luogo web di chi vuole diventare HERO Just for one day.

«Abbiamo introdotto piccole modifiche sui percorsi anche in vista dei mondiali marathon che la HERO ospiterà nel 2015 - commenta il direttore di gara Peter Runggaldier -, ma sostanzialmente i tracciati ripercorrono quelli delle precedenti edizioni, con il “lungo” di 84 km e 4.300 metri di dislivello, mentre e il “corto” è stato adattato ai requisiti dell’UCI per le distanze marathon a 62 chilometri con 3.300 metri di dislivello».

Ein Marathon, der immer größer und wichtiger wird. Nicht nur in Sachen Bekanntheitsgrad, sondern auch, was seinen „Inhalt“ betrifft. Denn der Südtirol Sellaronda HERO tut alles Erdenkliche, um so vielen Bikern wie möglich die Teilnahme zu ermöglichen. Zahllos waren in den ersten drei Jahren des HERO die Teilnahmeanfragen. Und so dürfen im nächsten Jahr ganze 3.013 Radler mitfahren – genau 1.000 mehr als bei der letzten Auflage.

 

«Ein Zugeständnis, das wir für wirklich wichtig halten. Denn wir wollen angesichts der Hunderten von Anfragen, die uns nach Einschreibeschluss im letzten Jahr erreicht haben, ein Zeichen setzen – so Gerhard Vanzi - auch wenn diese Entscheidung Änderungen in der Renn-Organisation nach sich zieht. Vor allem beim Start und auf einigen Teilstrecken, um ein flüssiges Durchkommen der Teilnehmer zu gewährleisten.“

 

Anmeldung und Streckenverläufe

Und so sehen auch heuer wieder alle fieberhaft der Jagd nach der Startnummer entgegen: Die Anmeldungsfrist beginnt offiziell am Mittwoch, den 24. Oktober 2012, um Mitternacht auf der Webseite www.sellarondahero.com. «Die Streckenführungen haben wir teilweise ein wenig geändert, auch im Hinblick auf die Marathon-Weltmeisterschaften, die der HERO im Jahr 2015 durchführen wird – kommentiert Renndirektor Peter Runggaldier – doch im Wesentlichen basieren die Strecken auf denen der vorherigen Jahre, wobei die „lange“ 84 km lang ist und einen Höhenunterschied von 4.300 Metern aufweist, während die „kurze“ an die Erfordernisse der UCI für die Marathon-Strecken angepasst wurde und nun 62 km  lang ist, mit einer Höhendifferenz von 3.300 Metern.»

A race which continues to grow, and not only from the image standing but also in terms of content. The Südtirol Sellaronda HERO 2013 presents itself in determined fashion, having great ambitions to satisfy the many and various ideas, necessities, and aspirations which have emerged in the first 3 years of its existence. As part of this progress the maximum number of participants for next year has been raised to 3,013 bikers, that is to say one thousand more than in 2012.

 

«The increase in numbers has required a significant organisational effort but we felt bound to respond and to cater for more competitors, especially after having hundreds of requests still coming in after the closure of registrations for last year’s race, the maximum number having been reached well in advance – so explains Gerhard Vanzi – and the increase will require some organisational changes at the start of the race and also at certain points along the route, so as to allow for a higher number of competitors to proceed without hold-ups».

 

Registration and routes

So the excitement begins to build as the opening date for registrations draws near: the official opening is set for midnight on the 24th October 2012 – see www.sellarondahero.com, the web friend of those who want to become HEROes ‘just for one day’.

«We have carried out some small changes to the routes, principally in preparation for the World Cup marathon which the HERO will play host to in 2015 – informs race director Peter Runggaldier - but in substance the routes remain the same as in previous years, the ‘longer’ route being 84 km with a total altitude difference of 4,300 metres, whilst the ‘shorter’ has been adjusted to comply with the requirements of the UCI for the marathon distance and will be 62 kilometres with a total altitude difference of 3,300 metres».
