This
year, yet again, Val Gardena was the winner of multiple international awards.
At the "World Ski Award 2015", the international Oscar ceremony for
winter sport resorts, Val Gardena was again confirmed as "Italy's best ski
resort". On Skiresort.de, the world's largest test portal for skiing
areas, Val Gardena emerged as the 2015 winner in a number of categories.
According to recent consumer research conducted by "Ski Club of Great
Britain" Val Gardena is ranked as the world's third most coveted ski
resort, and the top ranking resort in Europe.
"World Ski Award
2015" is the Oscar ceremony for
winter sport resorts. As in previous years, Val Gardena featured prominently:
named as "Italy's best ski
resort". Almost 1,4 million winter sport enthusiasts from 24 countries
took part in the vote which included hotels, chalets and lift operators as well
as ski resorts. The Italian ski resorts nominated were Cervinia, Cortina d’Ampezzo, Valle d’Aosta, Madonna di Campiglio, Sestriere and Val Gardena.
The award for "World's best ski resort" was won by Kitzbühel.

Val Gardena ranked third most coveted ski resort worldwide, after Breckenridge (USA) and Banff (CAN).

In
a consumer research project conducted by "Ski Club of Great Britain",
around 15,000 Britons were asked for their opinion. Relevant considerations
were: guaranteed snow, size of the ski resort, price-performance ratio,
accommodation quality, ease of access, friendliness of the local population,
the resort's traditions, activities other than skiing, child-friendliness and
whether the resort would be recommended to friends.
The most crucial criteria for choosing a destination were identified as guaranteed snow, size of the ski resort and price-performance ratio.
