‘Send us your most
stunning pictures of Val Gardena – the top 3 will be printed as posters’ is
what the Val Gardena Gröden Marketing call for submissions said for this year’s
photo competition.
Over the last
months, fans of everything Val Gardena had the possibility of sending us their
most beautiful pictures of the valley and let us tell you, the flood of great
shots didn’t make the jury’s job any easier.
Our heartfelt
congratulations go to the winners:
The 1st
place goes to Simon Moroder – the
local contestant won over the jury with his night-time shot of the Sassolungo
and the Milky Way; Jonas Junk, from
Augsburg, came in 2nd with his autumnal snapshot of Passo Sella,
taken from a very interesting angle at 2,240 m.
The 3rd
place was awarded to two contestants, FrancescoFerruzzi for his imposing black and white picture, taken on a winter excursion
on Resciesa and Lukas Runggaldier for his
dreamy night-time shot of the Lech de Lagustel which can be found at 1,824 m altitude
just above the San Giacomo Church.
The winners can look forward to seeing their 4
pictures on sale from September in the Val Gardena Tourist Office and at the
official Val Gardena Online Shop as posters!

As if that weren’t enough, from 3 to 11 September,
the 30 most beautiful pictures of this competition will be displayed together
with the 4 winning pictures in S. Cristina in the Raiffeisensaal (on the ground floor of the Town
Hall); the picture with the most votes during the exhibition (votes onsite
available) will be rewarded with a voucher worth €300!
