Did you know that in Val Gardena 90% of the population speaks Ladin? This originally Rhaetian language is more than 2000 years old.

Did you know that the most important sector beside the tourism in Val Gardena is carving? More than 1000 people work in this branch.

Did you know that Luis Trenker, the famous climber, cinematographic director and actor was born in Val Gardena? His tomb is in Ortisei and each year thousand guests visit it.

Did you know that Giorgio Moroder, composer of many famous soundtracks was born and grew up in Val Gardena? Now he lives in Beverly Hills and got three Oscars, but he regularly visits his hometown Ortisei.
