Sun, Carnival frolics and a good time up in the mountains - Carnival in Val Gardena

Carnival events and Après-ski will make for an unforgettable February and is always a special moment in Val Gardena: a time to have fun and to relive old traditions.
Are you thinking of preparing a barley soup on Fat Thursday? Then think again. It’s traditional for neighbors to steal your stewing pot and replace it with a jug full of water and a surprise floating within: an old shoe.

Don’t worry though, Carnival in Val Gardena is not only about pranks: a rich programme for all ages awaits you in the three main villages of the valley.
Figure skating shows and clowns, dressed up paragliders and ski teachers will delight our guests throughout Carnival.

Masquerade processions will also take place, and we also have an amazing open air concert with DJ DoubleD and Tim Toupet planned. Time to have fun, dance and sing along to the earworm in the sunshine at the heart of the Dolomites.
