Premio Karl Unterkircher Award in Val Gardena Gröden

► 3° PREMIO KARL UNTERKIRCHER IN SELVA DI VAL GARDENA

L’evento inaugurale è dedicato a straordinarie conquiste alpine. Le guide alpine dell’Associazione Guide Alpine Val Gardena e la Scuola d’alpinismo e guide alpine Catores hanno selezionato tre candidati tra tutti gli alpinisti/gruppi di alpinisti provenienti da tutta Europa.

Le imprese dei candidati verranno poi mostrate durante questa notte speciale con l’ausilio di cortometraggi e diapositive all’interno della Casa della Cultura “Oswald von Wolkenstein”.

L’evento non è una premiazione vera e propria: infatti, è stato concepito più come l’assegnazione di un titolo onorifico e non come il riconoscimento di una vittoria vera e propria. Inoltre, l’idea dei fondatori di questa iniziativa era quella di creare un’atmosfera tranquilla nella quale alpinisti, gli abitanti del luogo ed i turisti possano parlare e conoscerci.

- Matteo Della Bordella & Luca Schiera (28.02 – 01.,02.,03.03.2013) per la prima scalata della parete Est della Torre Egger in Patagonia - 1000m (30 L) 7a, A2, WI 4

- Adam Holzknecht & Hubert Moroder (07.-08.01.2013) per la prima scalata della “Legrima” sulla parete Nord del Sassolungo in Val Gardena/Alto Adige

- Hansjörg Auer, Matthias Auer & Simon Anthamatten (14.-18.07.2013) per la prima scalata della parete Sud del Kunyang Chhish Est a Karakorum/Pakistan

► 3. KARL UNTERKIRCHER AWARD IN WOLKENSTEIN

Das Eröffnungsevent steht ganz im Zeichen außergewöhnlicher alpinistischer Leistungen. Drei Alpinisten/Alpinistengruppen aus ganz Europa wurden von den Bergführern der Bergführervereinigung Gröden und der Alpinschule „Catores“ nominiert. An diesem besonderen Abend werden die Leistungen der Nominierten anhand von Film- und Diadokumentationen im Kulturhaus „Oswald von Wolkenstein“ präsentiert.

Die Veranstaltung ist aufgebaut im Sinne eines Ehrenpreises, also ein „Fair Play“ und demnach nicht als Wettbewerb anzusehen. Nach den Grundideen der Arbeitsgruppe soll es eine einmalige Gelegenheit für ein lockeres Zusammenfinden zwischen erstklassigen Alpinisten, Einheimischen und Touristen sein.

Nominiert für den 3. Karl Unterkicher Award 2014 sind:

·    - Matteo Della Bordella & Luca Schiera (28.02 – 01.,02.,03.03.2013) für die Erstbegehung des Ostgrades der Torre Egger in Patagonien - 1000m (30 L) 7a, A2, WI 4

·    - Adam Holzknecht & Hubert Moroder (07.-08.01.2013) für die Erstbegehung “Legrima” mixed-Route in der Langkofel Nordwand in Gröden/Südtirol

·    - Hansjörg Auer , Matthias Auer und Simon Anthamatten (14.-18.07.2013) für die Erstbesteigung der Südwand des Kunyang Chhish Ost im Karakorum/Pakistan

►THIRD EDITION OF THE KARLUNTERKIRCHER AWARD IN SELVA DI VAL GARDENA

The opening event is dedicated to exceptional mountaineering feats. The Mountain Guide Association of Val Gardena and the Mountain School ‘Catores’ selected three mountaineers, or mountaineering teams, from Europe. The nominees’ feat shall be presented to the public on this special night together with film and slide footage in the Kulturhas ‘Oswald von Wolkenstein’.

This is a special prize of honour and should not be seen as the award for a competition. This night was designed as an opportunity to honour extraordinary acts of mountaineering, allowing mountaineers, locals and tourists to mingle in a relaxed atmosphere.

 

Nominees for the Third Edition of the Karl Unterkircher Award 2014 are:

- Matteo Della Bordella & Luca Schiera (28.02 – 01.,02.,03.03.2013) for the first ascent of the east side of the Torre Egger in Patagonia - 1000m (30 L) 7a, A2, WI 4

- Adam Holzknecht & Hubert Moroder (07.-08.01.2013) for the first ascent of “Legrima” mixed-route on the north side of the Sassolungo in Val Gardena/South Tyrol

- Hansjörg Auer, Matthias Auer und Simon Anthamatten (14.-18.07.2013) for the first ascent of the southern side of the Kunyang Chhish East in Karakorum/Pakistan
