After the success of the first stage
in Livigno on 26-27 January, with 35 teams registered, Rewoolution Raid Winter 2013, the adventure race created and supported by Rewoolution, an innovative Italian brand of
technical sportswear in pure Merino wool, is set to return.
The backdrop of the second round of
the season, scheduled for 16 and 17 March, will be the Dolomites. Val Gardena, Val di Fassa, Val Badia, Arabba and Marmolada
are the locations where competitors
will battle it out.
Divided into teams made up of three skiers, telemarkers or
snowboarders, the goal of Rewoolution Raid participants is to collect as many
points as possible. To do this, they have to compete in a series of technical
disciplines on the snow: parallel
slalom, freeride, freestyle, giant slalom, ski cross, moguls and speed skiing. In addition, using ingenuity and a sense of direction,
they must identify the numerous check points indicated in the Road Book
received at the start.
The teams with the highest score in their category (pro or
amateur) will not only be rewarded with technical equipment,
they’ll also have the opportunity to compete for the coveted final prize: a
trip in discovery of New Zealand, a land of dreams and home of the wool used in Rewoolution products. The two teams with the highest overall score after the
two stages (Livigno and Dolomites) will be declared the winners, but the
opportunity to enjoy an extraordinary adventure in the southern hemisphere will
also be given to one lucky team selected at random from those registered in the
amateur category.
Will team Engadina (pro) or team
X-Max (amateur), winners of the Livigno stage, once again dominate the race and
fly to New Zealand? For those of you wishing to beat them and enjoy an unforgettable
outdoor experience in the company of Rewoolution, registration is now open on the
website www.rewoolutionraid.com.
